Don’t be put
off by the narrow, crammed, winding, dusty street that leads to this rocking
café in lower parel. Walk in and VOW! The door to the cafe is hidden away in a
corner but go past it and once you push open the door you would be absolutely
mesmerized.
Lot of space and air around, this cafe serves some lip smacking bar
snacks and main course. A hip hop place to enjoy a chilled out evening.
Daylight bathes expanse of space, exposed brick walls, wooden tables, floral
couches, book racks and a huge open
bar and pastry
counter welcomes you with open arms.
The furniture
is decked out in floral upholstery and there are plenty of mismatched light
fixtures. The Cafe sprawls over two
floors (A lower floor and a mezzanine level). The lower floor was practically
full and we were escorted to be sated upstairs. The decor is truly amazing and
& tries to preserve the Mill Area Character through the extensive use of
trusses, exposed brick walls, industrial lights1, minimalistic wooden tables
& a splash of color introduced through the over-sized sofas located at one
end. An array of seating options to choose from -the Bar Type, Tables &
Cozy Sofas.
The focus is on
simplicity and enhancing the dishes. The clean taste of flavors is truly
commendable. To begin with we ordered for Mango Mohito which was fantabulous
with chunks; rather pulp of mango played havoc with our taste buds. Going on to the main course we ordered
Ravioli with a bowl of clear soup which was made to total perfection. Pasta was
fabulous too in thin white sauce and perfectly cooked with texture of the pasta
complimented it. My colleague ordered Lemon Chilli Coriander Grilled Chicken
with a generous helping of the Chicken which was extremely tender and the
highly flavorful. The service was quiet fast, but we love the way the
proportions are fined tuned, flavors sharpened. The meal was summed up by a
Dessert of Dark Chocolate Mousse and Marzipan Cake that made my day. For
someone headed to the Lower Parel Area this place is highly recommended for its
amazing food and most importantly to take back fond memories of the Mill Area
Architecture thats quickly giving way to Glitzy Skyscrapers and Residential
Apartments. Cheers!
