Monsoons too has shades of grey-Essential care and upkeep

Monsoon still holds meaning for most of us. It brings back memories of playing in the rain water, making paper boats, wearing raincoats and gumboots and enjoying the rains thoroughly. As we grow up and enter our teens we enjoy tea and snacks in rain. Then, when we become adults we continue enjoying the monsoon, sitting at home and seeing the rain through our windows.
Thus, monsoon weaves its magic on all people across different age groups, caste, creed, religion and sex. It brings relief from the scorching summer heat too.

Monsoon season is also a season when creativity blooms. Poets give expressions to their feelings by writing poems on the rains. Indian is an agricultural land. For farmers timely arrival and departure of monsoon means prosperity. Monsoon rains bring about greenery by helping growth of trees and fresh leaves. Monsoon and ladies are synonyms as they need extra care during this rainy season. Put in some jelly flats or flip flops to avoid spoiling your favourite pair of blingy ballerinas, high heels. These days, jelly shoes are available in aplenty and you won’t regret buying a pair, courtesy- the comfort they provide. Next must have is a very stylish umbrella. Splurge on an umbrella… like really! Go crazy with polka dots, prints, and see-through ones. They look great. Wet wipes- I mean imagine the dirt and moisture that gets stuck on the face and welcomes pimples on your beautiful skin. Make sure, besides washing your face before and after reaching home, you clean it at least twice with these wet wipes, if you plan to stay outside all day long. Crème Blusher is one cosmetic item that stays on for a good amount of time and makes you look fresh. Since you’d hardly be wearing any make-up during this time, a blush is a must for touch ups, when required. Monsoon leads to a lot of hair fall and frizz and to avoid unnecessary damage, one must always carry extra hair ties besides flaunting a braid/ ponytail or a bun of course.
Last but not the least, a water bottle so that you can stay hydrated! however, in spite of all its problems, monsoon is the favorite season for all. Its magic engulfs and encompasses one and all.
