As Mother's Day turns 100
this year, it's known mostly as a time for brunches, gifts, cards, and general
outpourings of love and appreciation. It's that day of the year when you put in a
little more effort than usual to show your mother how special she is and that
you care. Mother's Day and to celebrate this day, special brunches,
discounts and gifts for moms are on offer at various hotels, clubs and pubs in
Gurgaon; special events are also being organized across the city.
Much to my surprise ; does anyone
of us knew that MOTHERS day around the world is celebrated with varying
enthusiasm, in various ways, and on various days—though more often than not on

In Arab world, Mother's Day is on
March 21, which happens to loosely coincide with the start of spring. In Panama the
day is celebrated on December 8, when the Catholic Church honors perhaps the

soft beverages. Apart from eating out, you can even take out your mother
for a quick massage or take part in a fitness session with your mom. The
Westin Gurgaon alo offered Mother's Day Spa Package which includes a lime and
mint scrub followed by relaxing massage for a duration of 1 hour 45
minutes.
Even young school going children
marked the occasion as the Shiv Nadar’s morning assembly was based on the passion with which a mother always
cares for her child irrespective of the child's age. Students also performed a
skit to show how much they appreciate the small and big things their mother
does for them and their families. The assembly culminated with songs dedicated
to mothers.
One of such

event was crafted in a perfect way to get all mothers to relax,

other judges includes Anu Kapoor - Star Speaker - Magicka Super Moms, Sandhya

Highlight of the evening was Silky
Kaur - Star Dhol Player as she played her heart out making audience sway away
to glory. She is apparently the first women Dhol player of our country.
Event was
summed up by recognizing a few ladies who walked exceptionally well with
great poise and confidence.
