Momos’s are being loved from foodies since decades. Momo" is a stuffed dumpling, which is a traditional delicacy of the Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine.  They are very popular in the frontier regions of Bhutan, and the Himalayan borders of India. It is similar to the Chinese 'Baozi' & 'Jiaozi' or the Japanese 'Gyoza' steamed buns.

Hauz khas Village known as an eating paradise now witnessed another feather called Wow! Momo , it’s a chain of fast food restaurants based primarily in Kolkata, specializing in momos (Nepalese dumpling). It caters to 11 different flavors of momos available in Steamed, Fried & Pan Fried formats largely in white & brown flour variants. Momos are smartly Innovated & Invented to create Sizzler Momos, Moburg (Momo Burgers), Momo Chats etc. And to top it all, even the dessert is a ‘Chocolate momo. The Momos evolved into different shapes and styles, and introduced newer fillings, over time, including Prawn, Pomfret, Chicken & Cheese, Chicken & Capsicum, Paneer, Corn-Spinach and Mushroom. Momos are always served with 2 distinct types of sauces, ‘The Red Chili Dip’ a flaming hot sauce and another sauce with an Indian twist ‘The Green Coriander Dip’. The Momos are presented in a 6 different forms, namely - Steamed, Fried, Pan Fried , Sizzler Momos, Momo Burgers (Momburg) and Dessert Chocolate Momos.

The first outlet of 36 sq ft was established as a kiosk at Spencer's, in Kolkata. That venture, has since grown, to become the first Pan-Indian branded Momo chain. Very soon in September 2011, they tasted success with a whopping turnover of Rs 2.4 Crore, from a chain that had expanded to more than 25 outlets.
